Small-to-Medium Enterprise (SME) Support Technologies being developed by SMEs are matched to published Department of Defense (DoD) and other agency requirements. TRECC also supports SME development in the following ways:

• The Funding Opportunities Database identifies available programs from the over $80 billion of federal R&D funds, 40% of which is awarded to medium and small businesses.
• TRECC assists SMEs in pursuing identified funding opportunities and the awards process.
• TRECC partners with like-minded businesses and complementary activities in the public, private and academic domains.

Technology Transfer TRECC assists developers of new R&D in every stage of technology transfer, from deployment from basic research to process and product development, to commercial enterprise benefiting community and economic development. TRECC is committed to the following efforts:

• Developing SME technologies to meet DoD needs
• Transferring DoD and government labs technologies to the private sector
• Transferring research from University laboratories to the commercial and government sectors
